Research InterestsYvonne Rogers is a professor in the Computing Department at the Open University, UK and a visiting professor of Informatics at Indiana University, USA (where she was from 2003-2006). From 1992-2003 she was in the School of Cognitive and Computing at Sussex University, UK. She has also worked as a senior researcher at Alcatel and has been a visiting professor at Stanford University, Apple Computer Inc., and the University of Queensland. She is internationally known for her work in HCI, ubicomp, interaction design, pervasive learning environments and CSCW. Her research focuses on augmenting and extending everyday learning and work activities with interactive technologies that move beyond the desktop. She has pioneered an interdisciplinary approach to the design and evaluation of pervasive and mobile technologies for enhancing and provoking the way people learn, play and understand.
