Skills Sessions

Last year we introduced a new component to SummerFest: a morning of highly-informative research skills sessions. Due to the success and popularity of last year's sessions, this component will return again to SummerFest '09, with panel discussions including questions on notice and questions from the floor. Whether you are an undergraduate considering doing a PhD; a newly-started PhD student; a finishing PhD student wondering what to do next; or an early career researcher or established researcher interested in maximising your chances of success in grant applications, developing collaborative projects with industry, or learning more about dealing with the Media, you'll find something in these sessions for you.

If you have any particular questions for our skills sessions presenters to cover you can submit your questions online. You can also view the questions that have already been asked.

The Skills Sessions will run on the morning of Wednesday 2nd December, 2009. There are three parallel sessions: one aimed primarily at undergraduates, honours students, and those in the early stages of their PhDs; one aimed at those who are further on in their PhD studies; and one aimed at early career researchers.
